Robin Renee Hood was born on March 26, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the ninth of fourteen children born to the union of L.B. and Clara Hood. Her father, L.B.; mother, Clara; brothers, L.B. Jr. and Stanley Hood; and sisters, Martha Ann, Esther Hood, and Ada Hood preceded her in death.
Robin confessed a hope in Christ through baptism at Greater Shiloh M.B. Church under Reverend R. Holmes and attended many churches throughout St. Louis. Most of her years as a church member were spent at New Morning Star under the leadership of Reverend Parker and Reverend Jenkins. She was a dedicated choir member and also sang with her siblings and nieces as part of the Hood Singers.
Robin was a fun and loving person, full of life and cherished by everyone. She worked for Bethesda Health Group for many years and retired in 2024.
On July 25, 2025, at 3:25 AM, she moved out of her old house and into eternal life.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son, Anthony Edwards (Shondanishea); four grandchildren, James Edwards, Xavier Russell, Tatyana Edwards, and Stephen Edwards; brothers and sisters, Gladys Winters, Raymond Hood (Peggy), Joyce Scott, Lynette Scott (Lee), Terri Bartee (Tony), Anthony Hood (Donnise), Alan Hood (Karen) of San Diego, California, and Zelda Hood Clark (Erwin); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, and friends.
