Mr. Rene Sedivy

Rene J. Sedivy, 84, of Oakley, Illinois, passed away on August 27, 2025. Born on October 3, 1940, Rene lived a life marked by service, devotion, and love for his family. He proudly served his country in the military for three years and carried that sense of dedication into every aspect of his life. Above all, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Nancy Sedivy, caring for her with love and compassion throughout their life together.

Rene was preceded in death by his parents and two of his sons, whose memories he carried in his heart throughout his life.

He was the beloved father of five sons and the proud grandfather of two granddaughters, Christina and Sarah Hoving, who he lovely raised. He is survived by his wife, sister, two brothers, and many extended family members and friends who will remember his strength, resilience, and loyalty. 

Those who knew Rene will always remember his deep commitment to family and the many ways he touched the lives of others. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who loved him.
