He soared into this world into the loving arms of his parents, Tommie and Ruby Journey on September 24, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. Ronald Demetrius Journey was affectionately called Pops, Ronnie or Ron by his children, family, and friends.
Ronnie, as most knew him, was educated through the St. Louis Department of Education. At an early age he loved performing, dancing, and designing clothing. By his teens his passion became cars and motorcycles. He knew everything about cars especially classics and was very knowledgeable about the ends and outs of a motorcycle. Through the years he often worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing as well. He often caught enough fish to feed neighbors in his community in Cahokia, IL. His dream would be to fish every day along with his dogs.
Although Ronnie grew up in a Christian home, he lived most of his adult life as an Islamic Muslim. In his later years he once again acknowledged Christ.
Now soaring with wings spread wide back to the loving arms of his parents, Tommie and Ruby Journey; sisters Marvella Journey and Prensilla Journey awaits his presence with smiles. Rolling with pipes blaring brothers Charles E. Journey, Tommie L. Journey, Sylvester Journey, Chester L. Journey can’t wait to talk “bike” talk.
He leaves to behold his spirit his sons Demeatress R. Journey, Bryant S. Moore, Ashley D. Wesley (Paramount, CA); daughter Shannon Piper (Paramount, CA); grandchildren Arthur, Matthew, Bryant Jr, Malachi, Jada, Isaac, and Heaven (Paramount, CA); brothers Andra Journey and Damon (Dionne) Journey (St. Louis, MO); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He leaves all of us with some of his wisdom, laughter, and passion to ride and love of bikes (motorcycles).
