Michael was born on October 4, 1954, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the youngest of two children born to James and Helen Scott. Michael was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Michael was an easy-going man who enjoyed listening to the radio and going out to eat. He especially valued spending time with staff who took a genuine interest in him and enjoyed talking with him.

In August of 1983, just a few months shy of his 30th birthday, Michael moved to Bellefontaine. It became his home for over forty years. Although his mother and brother relocated to Virginia, they always kept Michael’s best interests at heart and checked on him often.

Michael will be deeply missed but never forgotten by his mother, Mrs. Helen Scott Catlin; his brother, Mr. James R. Scott; his niece, Bridget Scott; his cousin, Elizabeth Steward; along with a host of cousins and dedicated staff. The staff of Home 1504, as well as all who knew him, will truly miss his presence.
