Mary Ann Wilson

Ms. Mary Ann Wilson was born on December 21, 1962, in Tchula, Mississippi, to George Edward Wilson Sr. and Annie Mae Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her father, George Edward Wilson Sr.; her mother, Annie Mae Wilson; sister, Bobbie Jean Couch; her nephew, George Wilson; and her grandparents, Joe Carter, Ola Mae Farmer-Carter, Vinie Ransburg, and Preston Williams.

Mary Ann attended Maplewood Richmond Heights High School and later became known as a loving and devoted mother, friend, and member of her community. Her compassion for others was evident throughout her life, as she was always concerned for the well-being of those around her.

Having accepted Jesus Christ early in life, Mary Ann remained committed to her faith and raised her family in the church, being an active member of Lindenwood Missionary Baptist Church.

Mary Ann worked tirelessly throughout her life, holding various jobs until her health began to decline. Despite the challenges she faced, she continued to care for her family and others around her with a loving spirit.

On Thursday, December 26, 2024, she departed this life at DePaul Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Trina Wilson, Michael Jones, Lisa Wilson, Tracey Wilson, Cody Harry, and Kareem Harry; By her sibling, George E. Wilson, Louise Wilson, Alvin Wilson, and Diane Wilson; and her beloved grandchildren, David Scanlon, Tae Scanlon, LaMont Wilson, Carlos Wilson, Julia Dettmer, Isiah Hendrix, Joshua Hendrix, Gabby Jones, Michael Jones, Cyniyah Hall, and Shamia Wilson. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mary will be remembered for her kindness, devotion, and the love she gave freely to all those she encountered.
