Elbert Dean Jr. was born in St. Louis, MO on December 3, 1960 to Elbert Dean Sr., and Ida Dean, who preceded him in death, as well as a sister, Dorothy Bond and a brother, Roosevelt Jackson.

Elbert Dean Jr. graduated from high school in St. Louis, MO, and he worked as a laborer at Beacon Moving Company for a number of years.

Elbert Dean Jr. leaves to cherish loving memories with his sister, Gloria Jackson; two uncles, Larry Staton (ALice) of Calumet City, IL and Danny Staton (Pervis) od St. Louis, MO; five nieces, one nephew and a host of cousins and friends.
