Damon was born on July 18, 1976, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Vamp “Velma” Poe and the late Harrison Davis. He was a lifelong resident of the Saint Louis area and a dedicated, hardworking man.

For 26 years, Damon was employed as a cook at Applebee’s Restaurant, where he took pride in his work and was known for his consistency, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Damon Lamont Poe, age 49, of Saint Louis County, Missouri, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 4, 2026.Damon was known as a loving, funny, quiet, and loyal man who would help anyone in need. Above all, he was an exceptional father.

He became the sole provider for his son at the age of five and his daughter at the age of two, dedicating his life to their care, guidance, and well-being. Damon Lamont Poe will be remembered for his quiet strength, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. May he now rest peacefully, free from pain, and wrapped in eternal peace.

Damon was a devoted father and cherished family man. He is survived by his loving children, Damon Tramaine Poe and Symone Desiree Poe, both of Saint Louis, Missouri; and his beloved grandson, Kayden Poe, who brought him immense joy, two younger brothers, Lorenzo Poe and James Poe, both of Saint Louis; his younger sister, Lorena Allen, of Dallas, Texas; and his aunt, Janita Poe of Saint Louis, Missouri who was like a sister to him. Four close nephews—Xzavier J. Allen, Zachary L. Allen, Erik Johnson, and Justin Talton—as well as a host of additional nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
