Obituary

Mr. Anthony Sylvester Cook was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on December 22, 1951, to the union of Mr. Leroy Clarence Cook and Mrs. Mary Smith Cook. Anthony was the seventeenth of eighteen siblings and the baby boy. Mr. Anthony Sylvester Cook preceded in death by his loving parents and eleven siblings: Frank, Bernice, Evora, Ora Lee, Lynn, Leroy, Jr., Ervin, and Deother, Ophelia, Doreatha, and Verneilia.

Mr. Anthony Sylvester Cook was baptized early in life under the leadership of Reverend Sallie A. Pride of Christ Holiness Temple and renewed his faith at Christ Holiness Temple under leadership of Bishop Gearline Smith.

Cook's formative education was in Saint Louis, Missouri; he attended Bates Elementary School and Soldan Maroon and Gold Tiger High School. He received his GED. Cook enlisted into the United States Army in 1973. Cook’s employment history began at an early age, as he supported the entrepreneurship of his father in multiple businesses. Mr. Anthony Sylvester Cook worked as a administrator in the Federal Building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, volunteered with Joyce Meyer's Ministries and worked as a logistic transporter with several companies in the greater Saint Louis area. Cook was an avid reader, great debater, and was excellent with history facts.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Cook left this earthly life to join our Heavenly Father in eternity.

Mr. Anthony Sylvester Cook leaves to cherish his memory; his children, Mr. Cordell Bass and Tiffany Loggins of Saint Louis, Missouri; grandson, Mr. Cameron Bass, Saint Louis, Missouri; siblings, Mrs. Geraldine Limar; Saint Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Delores Hollingsworth, Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Winnie Morris Wright City, Missouri, Mr. Amos Cook, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mr. Samuel Cook Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mr. Calvin Cook, Saint Louis, Missouri; Sister/Niece, Marsulite Cohen, Saint Louis, Missouri; special nephew, Mr. James (Jimmy) Cannon, II; 3rd mother, Mrs. Pearline Burton, Saint Louis, Missouri a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
